Adrian Raso recording wraps up in Toronto

I just got a nice email from Adrian Raso who is totally loving his new guitar. He has been using the instrument on a new record featuring Fanfare Ciocarlia, John Jorgenson, Kevin Figueiredo (Extreme), and which is being mixed by Bob St.John at Metalworks Studios in Toronto

In addition to the record, a film documentary of the process is also being constructed and here are a couple of preliminary clips from the sessions:

Michael Collins graduated from the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery in 1992. He built Harpsichords, and Fortepianos for the firm of Hubbard & Broekman Harpsichords in Boston for seven years, before resuming his love for guitar building. He began making reproductions of Selmer style instruments in 2002, and wrote a book describing that process which was published in 2006. He lives in Arizona, and is in the middle of creating a Selmer guitar building course for the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery.
