Petite Bouche

Petite BoucheThis guitar is based upon the examples which followed the departure of Mario Maccaferri. It features 14 frets clear of the body, a narrower fingerboard and quite a new sonority compared with the D-hole.

It is also the guitar that was preferred by Django Reinhardt, his being no.503

Django’s Selmer guitar has only four horizontal soundboard braces whereas the latter models had five.

The overall body size has remained unchanged, yet the difference between the two guitars can be quite startling. Both guitars are loud, and are able to cut through, yet have a warmth that is difficult to describe with words.
